For normal humidity in a house or basement, Residential Dehumifers work well; but not during water damage.  This is where you will need a Commerical-grade Dehumidifier for the job.  Spring and Fall are the two times of the year that a dehumidifier will pay for itself.  In normal circumstances, these are the times of year during which your home's air conditioning or heating system is not running.
